Title: Hurt: Tide not the only SEC team with QB issues
Post by: pmull on April 24, 2011, 07:23:43 AM
The University of Alabama ended spring football practice with a quarterback race that, as far as can be told, is closer than it was when the spring started. Sophomore A.J. McCarron and redshirt freshman Phillip Sims appear to be neck-and-neck going into the off-season, and redshirt freshman Blake Sims is getting some mention, too, not as a starter, but as a potential change of pace.

So that means - well, what exactly does it mean? Does the uncertainty at quarterback dilute expectations? Does it mean rating Alabama as a preseason top five team nationally, as most prognosticators will do, is a gamble? Or does it put the Crimson Tide in the boat with the rest of its Southeastern Conference brethren?

Well it sounds like I everybody is set, except Alabama, who has no idea who the QB will be. They don't even know who the offensive line is right now. Yet, some people have them picked to be #2 in Preseason Polls. Now why is that? RTR!
