Quote Alabama junior righty Tucker Hawley tossed five scoreless innings and freshman second baseman Kyle Overstreet had two RBI as the Crimson Tide held on to defeat the Alcorn State Braves, 3-2, on Tuesday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The win moves Alabama to 21-13 overall, while Alcorn State's loss drops their record to 8-29. "I thought [Tucker] Hawley gave us a good start, then [Taylor] Guilbeau came in and gave us a couple of innings," Alabama head coach Mitch Gaspard said. That matches the number of wins we had all of last year.

These mid week wins are very important because wins are so difficult to get in SEC play. We travel to Ole Miss this weekend.
