Title: How to make the word Link Post by: ricky023 on March 04, 2011, 08:00:41 PM Could some of the powers that be, explain to us Lamen how to make the word Link instead of having a very link out there? I know it has to be easy but being a computer dummy I would have to have that knowledge. Thanks for your help. RTR!

Use the URL function [u"rl][/u"rl] Then add an '= and paste your link [u"rl=www.whatever.com] Then type what you want to name the link here and close the url [/u"rl] Title: Re: How to make the word Link Post by: ricky023 on March 04, 2011, 08:15:06 PM Thanks general. Great job. RTR!

I have to make sure I can find the URL function and the rest is just like you showed me. I should be able to practice it and get before much work. RTR! Does that make sense? Title: Re: How to make the word Link Post by: SUPERCOACH on March 04, 2011, 09:39:42 PM Hopefully I can make this easier pretty soon. Here is what it looks like when you got it all typed in:
Code:
which gives you this: Crimson Red Sports (http://www.crimsonredsports.com) And you can use the code button to show a piece of literal bulletin board code without it being converted. The code button is the # sign next to the quote button. So the first code block in this post was accomplished like this: [code][url=http://www.crimsonredsports.com]Crimson Red Sports[/url][/code] Title: Re: How to make the word Link Post by: MDB Tide Roll on March 04, 2011, 10:42:01 PM Thanks for the easy instructions.
But why does it show the code when you preview the post... I thought I had messed it up somehow Title: Re: How to make the word Link Post by: SUPERCOACH on March 04, 2011, 11:02:48 PM It shouldn't show the code when you preview the post, unless it is inside a code tag. It should show it exactly like it will be when it is posted.
Title: Re: How to make the word Link Post by: MDB Tide Roll on March 04, 2011, 11:10:58 PM That's what I thought, but it didn't show it that way.
