Title: Oregon Football in Trouble Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 16, 2013, 07:47:47 PM Oregon thinks they can get off with a wrist slap from the NCAA. It ain't gonna happen.
Quote The University of Oregon has acknowledged major NCAA violations in connection with football recruiting and proposed a self-imposed two-year probation with the loss of one scholarship in each of the next three years, according to documents released by the school. http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/oregon-ducks-recruiting-violations-proposed-two-year-ncaa-probation-041613 :lol2: Title: Re: Oregon Football in Trouble Post by: KoKoPuf on April 16, 2013, 08:27:25 PM They should have followed the Auburn method - lie, lie, lie.
Title: Re: Oregon Football in Trouble Post by: ricky023 on April 16, 2013, 10:06:34 PM I don't know but I think the NCAA wants so bad to send a message to college sports we are in charge. The only time I see real action by the NCAA, is when they come into the SEC. They are so prejudice. Check Ohio State, and USCw. These guys get off from harsh penalties. JMHO. RTR!
Title: Re: Oregon Football in Trouble Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 16, 2013, 10:29:19 PM They should have followed the Auburn method - lie, lie, lie. They will be calling Auburn for advice on how to lie & manipulate the truth and how to blame the REC. :o Title: Re: Oregon Football in Trouble Post by: pmull on April 17, 2013, 08:03:47 AM NCAA schools should know by now to not turn yourself in or admit to anything. The NCAA is incapable of finding anything during a so-called two year investigation.
Schools that follow the rules and cooperate during investigations, like Alabama, get hammered. Title: Re: Oregon Football in Trouble Post by: ricky023 on April 20, 2013, 11:18:39 AM Well I admire honesty in any school officials. I do however, think that you should run a clean program, then there is no reason for them to be afraid of anything. My way of doing it would be, that if I ain't sure, I would call the NCAA and ask them. Then they would have to be the right or wrong one. JMHO! RTR!

Auburn has learned that by denying everthing, fighting every allegation, and dummying up does work. Actually, I admire them for fighting the NCAA instead of rolling over like a whimpering dog and relying on the "mercy" of the NCAA. We learned a very harsh lesson over acting like that. The NCAA is basically a bunch of holier-than-thou academics who love to rip sports programs and then lecture them. :popcorn2: Title: Re: Oregon Football in Trouble Post by: pmull on April 22, 2013, 08:39:23 AM NCAA schools should know by now to not turn yourself in or admit to anything. They got away with it but the schools reputation was ruined. People look at Auburn the same way they viewed OJ Simpson after he was not found quilty of murder. Everyone knows they did it but the NCAA is too weak so they got off anyway. I still fill the best way to stay out of NCAA trouble is to run a clean program. |
