Bama and LSU are playing game 2 of their 3 game set.

Bama loads the bases and fails to score in the first inning. Something like last night, a pop fly in the infield and a weak grounder to the pitcher ended the inning.

Jury is pitching for Bama tonight.

LSU gets their leadoff batter on with a double to left center followed by an infield single by the second batter. The third batter grounds into a fielders choice to Hayes. Runners at first and third with one out. The next batter flies out to center and the run scores from third. Bama gets out of the inning only giving up the one run.

Bama 0 LSU1

Daniele Richard leads off the 2nd inning getting hit by a pitch. Hawkins pops up to right field for the first out. Hayes pops up to 2nd base for out 2. Braud singles to left field. McCleney gets a hit to RF and Richard is thrown out at home on a contested call by Murphy. Richard stumbled a little rounding third which may have cost her.

Jury walks the first batter, here we go again. Runner is scrificed to 2nd, 1 out. The next batter pops up to Hayes, 2 out. Runner tries to get to third on a bobbled pitch by Fichtner but is thrown out at third.

After 2 innings, Bama 0 - LSU 1

Hunt leads off for Bama in the third and draws a walk. Fichtner fouls out, 1 away. Spencer misses on a hit and run and Hunt is thrown out at 2nd for out 2. Spencer pops up to LF for out 3.

Leadoff batter for LSU bunts for a hit. The second batter bunts one over Richards head for another hit, runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs. Braud drops a fly ball in left that would have been an easy double play, bases loaded. The next batter flies out to Braud in left but the runner scores from third, 1 out. Next batter flies out to Braud in left, 2 out, runners at 1st and 2nd. Jury strikes out the next batter and gets out of another near disaster inning.

After 3, LSU 2 - Bama 0

Lafaele lines out to 3rd to start the 4th. Richard homers to left to cut the lead to 2-1. Hawkins grounds out to shortstop, 2 out. Case is pinchhitting for Hayes and grounds out to short for out 3.

Leadoff hitter gets a single up the middle for LSU. Next batter flies out to left and Braud holds the runner at first. Next batter grounds to Hayes at short and she gets the lead runner at 2nd, 2 out. Richard throws out the next batter for out 3.

After 4, LSU 2-Bama 1

Braud has 2 hits today and leads off for Bama. Braud gets another hit and Mcleney is next up, she has two hits today. McCleney sacrifices Braud to second, 1 out. Hunt is robbed of a hit up the middle on a great play by their shortstop, 2 outs. Fichtner flies out to center for the 3rd out.

Jury walks the 1st batter on 4 pitches. Next batter is hit by her bunt out of the batters box, 1 out. Fichtner throws out the runner at 2nd, 2 out. Next batter pops up for out 3.

After 5, LSU 2 - Bama 1

Georgia beat Florida today and Ole Miss leads TA&M 8-4. Missouri wins at Kentucky. Arkansas and Tennessee is tied after 5 innings.

Traina leads off for Bama and fouls out. Lafaele hits next and flies out deep to left. The wind is blowing in from left tonight. Richard gets an infield hit. Hawkins is next and gets a infield hit, runners at 1st and 2nd with 2 out. Richard is thrown out at third trying to steal and CPM is livid, somebody missed a sign. Three outs left for Bama and it isn't looking good.

LSU batter pops up to Hayes, 1 out. Jury walks the next batter. The next batter flies out to center, 2 outs. Fichtner throws the runner out at second for the 3rd out.

After 6, LSU 2 - Bama 1

Arkansas is leading Tennessee by 1 in the 6th.

Iamuri pinch hits for Hayes, Hayes is now out of the game and Hunt will move to shortstop. Iamuri strikes out. Braud grounds out to short, 2 away. McCleney grounds out to third, game over.

LSU 2 - Bama 1

Bama has nothing to offer from the plate as of late. Mental errors continue to haunt them as Richard mad a huge one in the 6th inning trying to steal third on a missed signal. Bama does not have that go to hitter this year that can get those come from behind hits. Bama left 7 unners on base and had the bases full in the 1st with 1 out and didn't score.

Bama is just not a championship caliber team right now but we all know that can change in the blink of an eye but some of these hitters have got to get better with runners on base for this to happen.

Jury pitched another good game and seemed to handle LSU better than Traina did. This was the case last weekend agains Miss State as well. Right now, Jury is a better pitcher than Traina and that's hard to believe but it has happened. Something has happened to traina's pitch, the batters are seeing it too good and hitting her hard.

Oh well, I can't give up on them, we'll show up again tomorrow and try to salvage one game out of this series. I don't think Bama has won a game in LSU's new stadium, some of that voodoo stuff going on down there.  ;) RTR!!

I saw your post the other day and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now cross your fingers for a win tomorrow. :D
