I say, "Fire him for incompetence." Title: Re: Look how the Boston Globe used Bama in a headline Post by: ricky023 on April 25, 2011, 05:26:16 PM I can't tel what he is talking about. RTR!

My point was, look who they chose as the nation's famous team. They would never say "We are not Auburn."

Title: Re: Look how the Boston Globe used Bama in a headline Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 26, 2011, 02:22:14 PM The message is pretty simple, UMass ain't Alabama when it comes to college football and drawing fans. He sees UMass wasting a whole lot of money for nothing in return. UMass can never hope to be an SEC or Big Ten team on the field or in the stands. Plus, he figures they will try to stick the public with the cost of building a stadium on campus, another waste of money. Can anyone say UAB?

Or maybe it's poorly quoted from shawshank redemption? Maybe it's a play on how he thinks he looks like jerry garcia? I can keep going ...
