Do I need to mention he went on the disabled list? Read the entire link, interesting.

As Happ made clear during his press conference, he did not suffer a concussion, and a CT scan showed no damage to his brain or spine. He did sustain a small skull fracture near his ear and received stiches on his ear.

I saw that yesterday.  I think there was another guy that happened too recently.

I love the way the describe it as a "minor" skull fracture.

Ouch. How he didn't come away from that with a concussion, I'll never know.

Yeah, I was wondering how you can have a fractured skull but no concussion.

I'm no physician, but from my basic understanding a concussion is usually the result of trauma from the brain crashing against the inside of the skull.  From a physics perspective, the skull fracturing would've probably dissipated some of the energy and his brain may have received less trauma.
