Title: Bama vs Southern Miss @ Hattisburg tonight 6 pm cdt
Post by: Jamos on April 26, 2011, 08:25:29 AM
Bama will play a very tough Southern Miss team,  30-9 and nationally ranked in all polls ,tonight if the weather permits. Bama needs every win they can get to help their chances for a spot in the NCAA tournament.

Bama needs to crank their bats up as they are ranked last in the SEC in batting average, slugging percentage, and home runs. Bama averages less than 4 runs per game in the SEC, which is a true reflection of their offensive stats. Bama has no starter with a batting average above .285.

Adam Winslor will be the starter for the Tide tonight but will be limited to his number of pitches due to the big series at Miss State this weekend. Roll Tide!!!

I agree with you that Bama's hitting has been terrible of late, but according to the stat link on RollTide.com Reaves is hitting .348, Bennett .329, and Dugas .319.

Here we go Bama, here we go. Bats and more bats, and hits and more hits. Leaving men on base is killing us. RTR!

Good win for the Tide. So Miss is ranked in all polls and have a top 20 RPI. This will look good at the end of the year.

We need to end our SEC slump this weekend against Miss St.

This was a good win on the road against a quality opponent.  Out bats finally came alive especially the top half of the batting order.  Our first four hitters had 11 of our 15 hits.  Everybody in the line up had a hit except Sanders.  Hope we can carry this momentum into the weekend.

Thanks pmull for the updates while I was attending a first grade musical based on the poems of Dr. Zuess. ;)

I've been trying to get to my computer all evening but the boss of the house didn't want to give it up. I read my mistake earlier and just couldn't got on line to admit mu error. Sorry about that, maybe I should drink more coffe in the morning before I start posting.

I love the score, you guys have done a great job tonight, Bama really needed this one. By the way I will reward each of you for my mistake.  #+
