I didn't think he had the range to be an NFL kicker.

In January, he participated in the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic in Montgomery. In March, he spent a weekend in Phoenix, where he won the Greg Zauner College Senior Specialists Kicking Combine by hitting numerous kicks from 50+ yards, something he wasn't asked to do at Alabama. Shelley also attended both of Alabama's Pro Days.

Good choice to pick a team that plays indoors. A dome is much easier for kickers. The problem is Atlanta already has a very good kicker who has a few good years left in his leg.
