Title: Mark Ingram admits his latest feelings as the NFL Draft looms in part one of a t
Post by: Terrie1959 on April 26, 2011, 09:14:50 PM
At 21-years-old, Mark Ingram is poised and ready to begin his NFL career.

After three sparkling seasons at the University of Alabama — where he brought home a national title in 2009 — the Flintstone officially entered his name to be picked for the next level in January.

On Thursday, April 28, the opening round of the 2011 NFL Draft will take place at the Radio City Music Hall in New York at 8 p.m.

ESPN will broadcast the event.

Ingram is considered by many analysts as the most complete running back of his class and should be the first of his position to be selected.

Thanks, Terrie. e-cred.

I'm really eager to see where MI ends up.  He's such a great kid, and I'm happy for him.  He's worked hard and been a great role model for kids and other players.

Here's hoping he goes in the first 10.  ;D

What's your best guess for him?

Well, I'm saying Miami.

"The Miami Dolphins need to improve on the offensive side of the ball. The quarterback play last year was horrendous, and the running game was nonexistent. The team will not be able to find the quarterback of the future in the first round, but could at least look to take some pressure off current QB, Chad Henne. It would only make sense for the Dolphins, with the 15th pick in the draft, to address the backfield. Miami needs help at running back, with both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams hitting free agency this year. It is likely neither player will be retained, and the other alternative, Patrick Cobbs is not even an option to be the feature back. This sets up a perfect opportunity for the Dolphins to fill the backfield with a former Heisman Trophy winner.

Mark Ingram would be a very good fit on the Dolphins. He is the bruising, physical, workhorse that the organization would love to have. He runs hard on every play, and can be an every-down-back in Miami. I am sure the Dolphins are still considering drafting a quarterback, but there is no value at that position. Ingram is the best running back in this draft, and would be the closest you can get to a sure-thing in the 2011 class. If he is available when Miami is on the clock, I expect them to pull the trigger and select Ingram."

It has ben assumed the Dolphins wanted him, but then I read they wanted a breakaway back (a la A Petersen), then the word was the Patriots really want him. Either ranchis would be fine. Beats the heck out of Cleveland, Buffalo, Oakland, KC, St. Louis, or Cincinatti.

Since I'm a Dolphin's fan from way back, I hope he goes there. The Patriots would be okay too.  But I REALLY hope the Dolphins take  him.

Well I hope he gets a good team. Miami is ok but the Patriots would have him playing in a Superbowl quicker. It is going to be nice seeing his name called. RTR!

I know he wants to be picked as high as possible b/c of money and prestige.  The best scenario would be for him to fall to the Pats.  They are a top notch organization and they have a good O-line.

Hey 12, don't you see him having a better chance to win a playoff game with the Patriots, or even a Super Bowl. RTR!
