Title: Alabama softball eliminated by Tennessee in NCAA Super Regional Post by: Jamos on May 25, 2013, 08:16:49 PM The Bama girls tried but they were just not good enough, Tennessee was the better team. I hope Tennessee does well as anyother SEC that might make it to Oklahoma City.
Bama goes as Jackie Traina goes and she just wasn't the pitcher that she was last year and Bama wasn't the team it was last year. Not all of the fault of this years team falls on Traina though, the defense and offense of the team was no where near championship caliber, but they were very capable of being that though. There is high hope for the team next year though as only one starter was a senior and CPM seems to have recruited some help for the pitching staff as well as some infielders. The key for the team now is to have a good off season and come back healthy for next year, especially Traina. I would sure like to see their bats and gloves get a lot of needed work in the off season and I would also like to see the strength and conditioning coach work on these girls some, I think there is a lot of improvement needed in that area. I enjoyed watching them play this year and I am looking forward to ordering my tickets for next season. When Bama jumped ahead early, 3-0, I thought they were getting serious, but it was all UT after that. Maybe they were like the 2010 football team and had the NC hangover. If so, I hope the results for next year will be like the 2011 football team.

I hope they do a better job in baseball of keeping SEC teams away from each other as long as possible.
