Post by: hscoach on May 26, 2013, 11:45:51 AM
Is it just me or does ESPN ignore them?

They're not flashy and/or sexy, so we get an overload of the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, & maybe Nationals.

Because they are playing the Mets and they want the New York TV market.

Point taken there.  I think the NYY are on about 75% of ESPN's MLB broadcasts.

Of course you all may rather ESPN not carry the Braves broadcast.  I'm sure you're not happy with any other broadcast if you're used to listening to the Braves guys.  I've never listened to more unbridled homerism in all my life.

You could keep it classy like Vin Scully?

He's been around forever.  My Dad wants someone to verify that he's seen more MLB games in person than any person in history.  I can't imagine who has seen more.

A few weeks ago I heard one of the ESPN guys on the radio talking about that the Nets playoff game 7 was the first game 7 in a major sporting even in Brooklyn since the 1956 World Series between the Dodgers and the Yanks.  He also mentioned that Vin Scully was calling that game.
