The thought that they were trying to protect the child is just a theory to try to explain why anyone would do such a thing. A school teacher, supposedly committed to helping children, kidnaps a 6 year old child, then dumps her in the rain on the side of a rural road & tells her to wait. The arcticle I read said there was a property dispute and the child was taken for leverage. Most people hire an attorney for leverage in disputes. Kidnap a child and you go to prison.
