Title: SIAP: Gordon Gee "resigns"
Post by: cbbama99 on June 04, 2013, 09:14:26 PM
Good riddance. On one hand, I would have liked to have seen his old butt get fired. On the other, tOSU may never have gotten around to it.

What is it with that school? For quite some time the school has had to explain statements made by their AD and President.  ???

He was fired.  They made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

It's abrupt enough to make clear that this was a forced exit plan, not a desired one.

I wonder how much Urban Meyer, being Catholic, was involved in the pressure to oust Gee.  Maybe Meyer "dismissed" Gee.

Remember when Gee chose the depths of an NCAA investigation to voice support for Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel, uttering the immortal phrase, "I'm just hopeful the coach doesn't dismiss me." Tressel was forced out a couple of months later, which was probably a good indication that Gee was no longer having everything his own way.
