The two-time defending BCS National Champion Crimson Tide was the only SEC football program and one of five Alabama sports to be recognized today with an NCAA Division I Public Recognition Award. These awards go to programs that had multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores in the top 10 percent of their respective sport for the 2011-12 academic year.
