Title: Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Updates
Post by: Marshal Dillon on June 20, 2013, 08:42:12 PM
I've been following this since Wednesday. This guy is definitely guilty of something. Personally, I think he killed the guy. Be sure to read the link, there is a lot more to the report.

Quote
New details surfaced late Wednesday night further tying Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez to the investigation of a homicide of a Boston man. Hernandez's involvement in the case is significant enough that a source with knowledge of the investigation said that Hernandez's arrest is likely. It is not yet known what he would be charged with.

Quote
On Thursday ABC News reported that a security system in Hernandez's home, which included video surveillance, was smashed intentionally and a cell phone was handed over to police "in pieces" by Hernandez's attorneys. A cleaning crew was seen leaving Hernandez's home on Monday before the police searched the residence.

Well, the other shoe has dropped and a warrant has been issued. this guy is a real piece of cake. Just recently, he apparently shot a "friend" in the face and is being sued for that. He has a real gun fetish, but all in the wrong way.

Quote
The warrant is for obstruction of justice in connection with the murder investigation of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, who was found dead in an industrial park less than a mile from Hernandez's North Attleboro, Mass., home Monday.

Quote
• Hernandez tried to work out at Gillette Stadium on Thursday but was turned away by team staff, the Boston Herald reported.

Quote
• Last summer, the Patriots gave Hernandez a five-year contract. It was worth $40 million, according to reports, and came just months after the team locked up Gronkowski through 2019

Football is in no way the most important issue in this story, since someone has lost their life in a senseless murder and a pro player may be a suspect. But just on a side note, you have to wonder who Brady is going to throw to this season if Gronk is still out with injuries and Hernandez is in the clink.

Now I better understand why things are going down the toilet with the Patriots.

Quote
* The Patriots used three picks in 2009 and 2010 on players who reportedly failed college drug tests — Hernandez, linebacker Brandon Spikes and wide receiver Brandon Tate.

Tate was waived in 2011 and now plays for Cincinnati. Spikes and linebacker-defensive lineman Jermaine Cunningham, another 2010 second-round selection, both have served four-game NFL suspensions after testing positive for banned performance-enhancing substances.

Quote
Maybe Belichick placed too much faith in the predraft feedback of friend Urban Meyer. Belichick selected five University of Florida players from when Meyer was the Gators’ head coach. Hernandez, Spikes and Cunningham are three of them.

Lol! I did mean that to be funny, but speculation has it that TT is more likely to be a tight end than QB. If Gronc doesn't recover and Hernandez is in as deep kimchi as it would appear, who else is there?

I was thinking as I read these posts and TT with his build might be a good TE if he can block. Hands catch footballs but you got to be able to get to that LB or DE who needs to be moved. RTR!

According to the Sun Chronicle, a white hooded sweatshirt “consistent with the one allegedly worn” on the night of the murder has been found in the condo Hernandez rented. The report also states that investigators have “seized a baseball cap and a valet parking ticket from the W Hotel, which is within walking distance of the Rumor nightclub.” That nightclub is where Hernandez and Lloyd were seen together on June 14 and where, according to FOX 25, prosecutors claim "Lloyd made a comment to someone at the club that upset Hernandez and that Hernandez felt Lloyd could not be trusted."]

The Patriots coaches, players and management have cut all ties with him. I heard an ESPN guy say the Patriots probably got some information from law enforcement that the public does not know yet. UF has also removed any and all acknowledgement that he playerd there and was an All-American.

The fact they are not giving him benefit of the doubt and waiting for due process to run it's course speaks volumes.

New court records say that an associate of Aaron Hernandez told police the former New England Patriot put guns in a box in his basement after returning from the industrial park where his friend was fatally shot.

An affidavit released by Attleboro District Court says Carlos Ortiz told investigators Hernandez put firearms in the black box after Odin Lloyd's killing. The document indicates one was a small gun Ortiz handed Hernandez after they returned home with another associate, Ernest Wallace. Ortiz said he earlier saw Hernandez with an additional "large handgun."

Well, he is under the weather with a stomach bug this weekend, but otherwise he is doing great. He is 6 now and will be starting 1st grade in a few weeks. I hope he feels better soon. At his age he will bounce back fast.

It might help if you could find a place for him to shoot that has a lower goal. They make goal post that are adjustable that helps the young kids develop their shot. I see kids all the time trying to shoot but just can not get the ball high enough on a 10' rim.

Yeah, I have been trying to find a gym or other facility that has a goal that can be lowered for him. I've been trying to work with him on dribbling, and if he continues to show interest, we might sign him up for Upward Bound basketball in the fall.

Keep exposing him to different sports and he will show an interest in at least one, maybe more. Upward basketball is a good program.

You are going to have to show me proof he did not do it at this point.

But he says he is innocent. Don't you trust him?  :eyeroll:

You keep telling me you are not a Yankee. I don't trust you either.

Sigh. The things I have to put up with from you. Your loved ones have my condolences.  :)

Has is Little CB doing? How old is he now?

Well, he is under the weather with a stomach bug this weekend, but otherwise he is doing great. He is 6 now and will be starting 1st grade in a few weeks. He also seems to have developed an affinity for basketball, though finding the hoop with the basketball has proved to be a challenge so far. That may actually be enough to get him a scholarship to play for the barn, though.  :lol2:

I have to ask this question. What type of shoes have you got for him to play basketball in? Please don't tell me he playing in his baseball cleats.

I was waiting for the shoes question.  :lol2:

We tried him with soccer last year, but he got tired of running around the whole time really quickly. I think tee-ball is a little too slow for him right now (I hope that doesn't last). Basketball was good b/c there was constant action, but it was a shorter court so he didn't tire as easily. I'm kind of leery of football right now, especially at his age. If he comes to me in junior high or high school and says he wants to try out, then I'll probably let him.

Nice to see they are continuing to dig for more evidence.

The hounds are out for Hernandez.

Operation Put the Screws to Shayanna Jenkins apparently has commenced.

The fiancee of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, Jenkins initially was talking to police in the aftermath of Odin Lloyd’s murder — until Hernandez gave her the same advice Archie Bunker routinely provided to Edith.

Well, I was waiting for something like this to happen. I wonder if this means he goes to court in leg irons and handcuffs. You know he's going to do everything in his power to annoy & bother the Patriots. Maybe his lawyers are getting worried about being paid.

This entire case keeps twisting & turning.

This whole case is getting wilder & wilder. Rolling Stone has just finished an investigation about Hernandez, the person. Read the link, it's fascinating.

It's obvious this editor is an idiot who knows nothing about football. Assuming he does say 6 years for gun charges but beats the murder rap, no one in the NFL will touch this dirtbag after prison. First, 33 year old tight ends are not in big demand, plus it would be a public relations disaster and Al Davis is dead. The guy is toast, period.

Aaron Hernandez will be back in the NFL in three or four years.

Possibly.

“I think (the case) is not only beatable, (but) I think he will be back in the NFL within three or four years,” Rolling Stones contributing editor Paul Solotaroff said on The Doug Gottlieb Show. “I think they’ve grossly overcharged him based on the case they’re building – no direct eye witness, no murder weapon (and) no plausible motive.”

The case gets deeper & deeper. It's amazing how many people were trying to cover for Hernanadez. I guess they thought he would repay them, literally.

The fiancée of former football star Aaron Hernandez admitted before a grand jury that she removed a box from their home the day after Odin Lloyd was killed — a box that prosecutors believe contained the murder weapon — and tossed it into a dumpster.[

Quote
But although Shayanna Jenkins admitted that Hernandez had instructed her to get rid of the box, she declined repeatedly to tell grand jurors exactly where she took it when questioned about the location of the dumpster — and, therefore, committed perjury, a prosecutor asserted Tuesday at her arraignment

Quote
Jenkins is the fifth person so far to face criminal charges in the June 17 killing of Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating her sister and was an associate of Hernandez.

Quote
Hernandez, the former New England Patriots tight end, has been indicted on murder and weapons charges. Two men allegedly with him at the time of the killing, Ernest Wallace Jr., 41, and Carlos Ortiz, 27, have been indicted as accessories after the fact of murder. And Hernandez’s cousin, Tanya Singleton, 37, has been indicted on a contempt charge for refusing to testify before a grand jury and for conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact of murder.

This means Hernandez will lose the lawsuit for sure since he won't defend himself.

Lawyers for Aaron Hernandez say their client won't answer accusations in a federal lawsuit filed by a man who says the former star NFL tight end shot him in the face outside a Miami strip club.

A judge in Miami denied Hernandez's request to delay the Florida proceedings until a murder charge against him in the shooting death in Massachusetts of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd is resolved.
