Sorry I'm not Jamos or pmull. Not very knowledgeable about baseball. Just know basics but I'll try.

Bama gets a lead off triple!!  Good hit and baubled by State gives Bama another run and runner on 2nd with no outs!!!!

Strange happenings!!  Batter pops up, ball comes down and hits State player on leg and sends it to foul territory allowing Bama to score.  4-3 Bama middle of 6th.

Bama wins 5-4!!!  The winning homer was from a DH and it was his first hit this year!!!  ROLL TIDE!!!

I see whave no one for the 2nd game, I'll try to fill in. Sorry I haven't been here but I've been helping with the tornado damage today.

State scores one in the bottom of the 6th to tie it up 2-2, Bama coming to bat in the 7th.

Adam Morgan is pitching for Bama

Brock Bennet stole 3rd base and the catcher made a throwing error to allow Bennet to score. Bama now leads 3-2 in the bottom of the 7th

Pilkington has now relieved Morgan, Morgan walked the leadoff batter

Bama gives up 2 runs and now trails Miss State 4-3 going into the top of the 8th.

Pilkington really struggled but is still in the game.

Bama came right back with 2 runs to take the lead 5-4

Brock Bennet started all of this with a 2 out single to score Hendicks from 2nd. Reaves then followed with another hit to score Smith from 2nd.

Kennedy has now replaced Pilkington to pitch the 9th for Bama.

Kennedy got the first two State batters and then gave up back to back singles, but struck out the Miss State cleanup man Vickerson.

Roll Tide. From what they were saying Bama needs this series.  Apparently we are on "the bubble" with State to get into the SEC tourney. 

They are but not just the SEC tournament, Bama needs some wins to make the NCAA tournament in case they make the SEC tournament and not win it.

If they can win tomorrow, that is a three game sweep, on the road, and that weighs heavy with the selections committee.

We needed these two wins. It will be very nice if we get the sweep this afternoon but taking 2 out of 3 was a must.
