"Matthew 10:28-31  And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."
I remember when I was young, walking down a street in where I was raised. And in the midst of all of those large buildings I noticed, lying on the ground, a little sparrow. Apparently that sparrow had gotten confused and flew smack-dab into the side of one of those buildings and fell right to the ground.
And as I looked at that little bird, I realized that, from the beginning of time, God knew the very minute of the very hour when that little sparrow would fall.
God has a detailed plan for every life. Not just those who are in the clergy or those who serve in churches. But whether you’re a butcher, a baker, or a candlestick maker, God has a plan for your life that’s so intricate that he even numbers the hairs of your head. The God who knows when every sparrow falls from the sky knows about you and works in you.
And if God cares about birds, he cares more about believers. So never forget that your God is a personal God. He’s not out there way off somewhere, but he’s here, he’s now, and he’s with you.
