I remember him too. He was a great player with the Bears. If I remember correctly he was on the Super Bowl winning team. It is sad but these guys are big and strong so head contact pounds that brain at some high speeds. JMHO. RTR!

Many people that play football for any length of time wind up paying a very steep price. It is rough on almost every area of the body. People that play through to the NFL pay for it the rest of their lives.

Yeah, but if you survey them after-the-fact, almost all say they would do it again.

This is part of the reason why I am a little bit worried about my boy if he decides he wants to play football one day. The brain injuries are obviously the worst effects, but on the more minor side, many of these guys have more aches and pains by the time they are in their mid-40s than most of have all of our lives. Knees, back, neck, all your joints; the game really does a number on these guys.
