Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 07, 2013, 02:19:21 PM
Looking good.      :D

Quote
Mitchell, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound shooting guard from Collins Hill High School, is rated the No. 15 shooting guard in the nation and the No. 58 overall prospect in the 2014 class by 247Sports and is rated among the top 150 prospects in the nation by Rivals.
With over two dozen scholarship offers, Mitchell chose Alabama over Kansas State, Memphis, Wake Forest, UAB, Georgia, Cincinnati, and Ole Miss, all of whom were listed as finalists.

Thanks so much MD. This is good to hear. Maybe some of the other players CAG wants will start looking harder. RTR!

Very good week for Bama basketball. This is another 4* recruit that CAG has been looking at for a long time. He will fit in well with Coleman and Norris.

The remaining piece of the puzzel is 4* power forward William Lee. I hope he commits soon.

This is an good a class as two years ago when CAG signed Lacey, Randolph, Cooper and Jacobs.

3 national top 100 players in a week; that's quite a haul!

Mitchell is a shooting guard. In the Nike EYEB AAU League he hit 41 of 97 three point attempts for an average of 42.3%. They also say he works hard to get open and has a quick release.

Wow, what a turnaround for CAG. When I look at the videos of these latest 3 signees, they all seem to shoot well from the outside and they also drive to the basket well. Does anyone have any info on their academics?

I can not remember the basketball team getting this much attention in the summer. It is happens the first week of fall football practice too. CAG is doing something right.

He has already been academically approved by the NCAA Clearing House according to the Bama Scout site. I guess that means he is in good standing through his junior year and has exceeded the minimum required ACT score.

This has got to be CAG's finest recruiting year. There is a lot to be optimistic about.

Wichita State & Xavier in late December look very good & I will try those games. Wish I knew who they were playing in T-Town for the NIT Preseason games.
