Title: Pro football
Post by: hscoach on August 15, 2013, 07:16:28 PM
Do many of you watch a lot of pro football?  I have not in the past, but with more Bama players playing I will probably watch more.

Ravens every Sunday, and the Saints whenever they play a national game.

I hardly ever watch NFL. Same with the NBA. I prefer the college game.

I watch , and I also know that a lot of you don't care for the pro players
spoiled brats , thugs , cry babies the list goes on
not saying that isn't the case with a lot of them but ,
I follow them thru college and continue on to the pro's
it's the best of the best from college the way I see it
they are just rich(er) now

do I like all of them ? heck no !
but it is usually good quality football
not as heart felt as college ball and a bit more of a
disconnect from the college scene fan wise but still good football (some times)

Most definitely. I was a huge Jets fan when I was a young teenager and watched Joe Namath lead the Jets to victory in Super Bowl III. Plus, I watched Stabler play for the Raiders in the 70's when he led them to SB victory. My main team over the years has been the Falcons. In the 1970's you had the greatest NFL rivalries ever. The Steelers vs the Oilers, Steelers vs Raiders, Cowboys vs Redskins, & Falcons vs 49ers. The Steelers/Oilers & Cowboys/Redskins were fantastic, they truly hated each other.

I tend to watch a little more these days with all the Bama players, particularly the Falcons with Julio and the Saints with Ingram. I want to see the first regular season game for the Saints. The word is out that Ingram had a great camp and is the fittest he's been as a pro.

I wish the Browns would improve enough to be shown occasionally. I'd really like to see Trent in action this year, also. Same for Seattle with Jesse, SD with Fluker.

I don't like pro football enough to purchase the NFL Sunday Ticket, however.

I don't pay for pay-for-view to watch Bama play Western Kentucky, so don't worry.

I watch maybe 60% of the time. Since they have went signing all this millions of dollars and the guys are like kids if things don't go their way they will take their toys and go home. I am not impressed with the NFL when we have kids starving. All they want to buy is PED's and alcohol to get drunk. RTR!

I have very little interest in the NBA, but I love college BB.

I was born in New Orleans, and though we moved before I was old enough to remember the place I've been a Saints fan just as long as I've been a Bama fan.  Bama is a little more personal and in general I prefer the college game but I love both teams.  January 7 - February 7, 2009 was just about the greatest month of my life when Bama won the BCS and the Saints won the Super Bowl.  The only negative was that I was watching all of it 6000 miles from home.

I've watched NFL in the past -- the Bears when I lived in Chicago, the Cowboys when I lived in Dallas.  I've been to those stadiums.  I've also been to Saints and Falcons games while living in Alabama.

The thing for me, though, is I love college football so much, and dedicate much of my Saturday to it, that I really can't get by with spending Sunday watching football too.  I'm footballed out by Sunday, even assuming the wife would let me.  (She's a big college FB fan, so no worries on Saturday).
