Bama faces the Tigers tonight with both teams needing to take this series. The Tigers got off to a terrible start this season but recently have been playing to their normal standard of baseball, tough.

The University is offering free admission to first responders and others that are crucial to the recovery effort of the tornado that devastated Tuscaloosa recently.

For the remainder of UA fans, admission will be free to all three baseball games with a donation.  The Red Cross will have a cargo truck parked in front of Sewell-Thomas Stadium to receive donations.

The University listed some items needed by the victims:

Comfort Kits
o   The kit contains deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, facial tissues, wash cloth, shampoo, liquid soap, lotion, comb, razor and shaving cream.
·        Clothing
·        Baby items
o   Diapers, formula, toys, bottles, wipes…

On game day, cash donations will be handled by the Red Cross and checks will be accepted for the UA Acts of Kindness Fund.

Big weekend for Tide Baseball. We are close to winning the West and not making the SEC tournament at the same time. We need to take 2 out of 3 but a sweep would be better. I agree with Jamos that LSU looks weak on paper but they are starting to play well. We need to pitching to hold up which has been our strength all season. It is critical that we swing the bats well and not leave runners in scoring position on base. The top of the batting order needs to set the tone with early base hits.

LSU has always been a top notch baseball school. The past years have had them in the WS several times and they won a couple of times. This is a series we have to be careful, the main thing is to play to have fun. RTR!
