Title: ESPN visits Tuscaloosa for tornado-recovery story
Post by: pmull on May 06, 2011, 07:01:56 AM
ESPN announcer Rece Davis couldn't believe what he saw in Tuscaloosa. He had watched coverage online and on TV about the damage from last Wednesday's tornadoes and was told two-dimensional pictures didn't do it justice.

"Unfortunately, that proved to be true," Davis said. "Whether it was in Alberta City or Rosedale or Forest Lake, it's a miracle that anybody walked away from it."

Davis spent time in Tuscaloosa the past couple days filming an ESPN piece about the tornadoes that will air Sunday on SportsCenter. As the national media has moved on to the next story, ESPN will spotlight the recovery in relation to sports.

You know at one time I thought Rece Davis graduated from Alabama. I guess I was wrong. Does this peice say he came here because he wanted to make an ESPN moive about this? I hope others can read more out of this than I could. RTR!
