Title: University of Alabama Athletics Donates $1 Million For Tornado Relief Post by: pmull on May 06, 2011, 04:06:14 PM TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama Athletics Department announced today that it is contributing $1 million to the UA Acts of Kindness Fund established by the University to assist students, faculty and staff who were impacted by the April 27 tornado.
"After looking into several ways to help during this trying time, we have decided to take funds of our own to assist those members of the UA community who are facing very difficult circumstances," said UA Director of Athletics Mal Moore.
