Title: SEC Defenses are poorly conditioned Post by: N.AL-Tider on August 26, 2013, 08:01:40 AM So says a Big 12 offensive lineman. (http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2013/08/big_12_offensive_lineman_on_se.html#incart_river_default) Oklahoma State opens the season against Miss. State. Would love to see State beat them by 40 points.
Quote "You know, I just think that the SEC is blown a little bit out of proportion," Graham told OStateIllustrated.com. "There's a lot of great players down there and it's a heavily recruited area, but at the same time we play really fast offense here and sometimes those SEC defenses lose their breath against it. They have big guys but they aren't very well conditioned. We're gonna play our best ball and see what happens." Title: Re: SEC Defenses are poorly conditioned Post by: pmull on August 26, 2013, 08:31:34 AM I hope Miss St blows them out. If OSU wins all you will hear all year is they beat an SEC team. Beating Miss St is like beating Kansas, Indiana or Wake Forest from other conferences. Everybody does it.

He must be talking about the Big 12 Conference in general, because they haven't played an SEC team recently have they? Title: Re: SEC Defenses are poorly conditioned Post by: bamaphil on August 26, 2013, 09:33:17 AM I guess the reason Big 12 defenses give up an average of 72.6 points per game is that they're so well conditioned? :dunno:

Now wait a minute Miss St may not be a top tier team but they don't have to practice celebrating after a win. Indiana and Wake Forest I can agree with. |
