It was the low IQ Vince who got cut. Rumor is he only had something like 5-10 plays to call as Texas QB. Plus, he scored VERY low on the NFL IQ tests they give all prospects.


 

Mark my words: The Jet's have cut the only QB on the team with the intelligence and strength of character that will be needed when the inevitable happens. They will start Smith, but he is not ready. They will try Simms but he isn't ready either. Sanchez is a disaster and so if he is healthy enough to play, he will fall on his face as well. Around mid-season they will realize they have no quarterback suited to win them games, and they will be pining for a solid, intelligent game manager who does not make stupid mistakes. "Oops! We had one of those but we cut him"

I hope Greg can catch on with some other team, even if it was just with the scout team.

I'm glad Greg is catching on with someone, but I hate it is with one of our division rivals. I'm also a little surprised Robert Lester  couldn't make the regular squad. I guess practice squad is better than nothing.

I also heard that ESPN had offered GMac a job covering college sports.

My money is on these 2 guys being smarter than Rex and Rob. In fact, that's probably what sent GMac packing. He was smarter than Rex, and Rex couldn't have that. Of course, a mentally retarded geranium seed is probably smarter than the Ryans.

He would be good at such a job. First, he's a bright guy, he played for Saban, won an SEC and National Championship titles, and has a good personality and speaking ability.
