I was hoping maybe his account was hacked, but I don't think that is the case.  :(

I wonder if he just lost the desire to play football. It requires so much effort, pain, & dedication it is easy to understand his decision.

Those all good reasons. I wonder if CNS lit into the whole team Sunday and this is a by product. Don't have any thoughts nor have I seen any rumors. This is all strange. Maybe he was about to be passed up on the depth chart. CNS will have his news conference this evening, I guess we will find out then.

Common error is taking what miniscule info one has to draw conclusions.
CNS did not blame the team for anything.
Kenny did not quit because of anyone else.
Patience.  Details coming very soon, you can bet.

I think we need to wait and see how this plays out.

I thought I saw him on special teams playing hard the other day.  It seems like I saw him blocking downfield for CJ on the punt return.  He probably won't get much playing time at WR now with all the depth.

My guess is his teammates & coaches, maybe even parents, talked to him about his decision. He was probably down in the dumps due to playing time and made a rash decision. Just my speculation.

He wasn't at practice today, according to beat writers. CNS talks later this evening. I wish KB all the best. He is a team player and I hope he decides to come back.

No doubt he will see less playing time this year than in the past due to our depth. He has graduated and has a family. It is his decision. He has played well for us in the past and I will remember him fondly.

Good news: he's already graduated.

It makes sense for him to retire (I won't say he quit).  He is buried in the depth chart, probably no future in the NFL if he can't start at Alabama, already has his degree, and has a family to feed.  Quite noble of him if you ask me to give up his personal desire to earn another championship ring in order to support his family.

Apparently Coach Saban had a chat with Kenny and his Mom today.
He invited Kenny to stay on the team, and said he expects him back tomorrow.
Wording (paraphrased): "Kenny needed a personal day off, but should be back tomorrow."

It seems like everything may be a'ight again in the Alabama world.  CNS was fired up and tapping his fingers on the podium with impatience at some reporters' questions today.  I feel better now, because I was worried there for a while.

Take away lesson: In this age of social media, what we do on boards like this may make a small difference in the minds of players in KB's position, especially players who are so involved in social media. The resolution of this thing may have been different had we turned on him like junk yard dogs. I don't follow the other sites, but the response of our board was mature, expressing regret, understanding, and well-wishes. It's call maturity and it's why I enjoy CSR so well. Maybe that made a difference. Who knows?
