Too many negatives if you count, like the media liberals do,-- spirituality, decentness, honesty, and love of country.

Yep, he would make a terrible president.  :D

I say he can win, and will win.  Been saying it for 4 years now, no point in backtracking now.  I think whoever wins the Republican nomination will probably win the general.  I don't see the economy turning around quickly enough to help Obama with the re-election.

I guess I will be on the Herman Cain train for now.  Now there is a guy that doesn't have much of a chance at all.

I agree about winning the general election unless we shoot ourselves (conservatives) in the foot. A conservative third party candidate would do that (Trump). Another candidate like McCain or Dole, given the nod because it is simply their turn, also loses.

I like him. I voted for him in the Rep. primary last time. Too bad he's not running.

Who's turn is it this time?  Romney?  I guess he is the top guy left over from last time now.

Well Newt Gringrich has a great chance to win, and I think either Mick Romney or Gov. Huckabee will be his VP election. This may be why he said he is not running for Pres. is because he is going to be somebodys' running mate. RTR!

I don't think Newt has a chance.

I'm pretty excited about Newt actually, I have always liked the guy and I am glad he's running.

Who was that you mentioned WV?

I saw the first debate and didn't like him too much.  He sounded just like a politician.  But he is one to watch for sure.  I am not opposed to him.  I am opposed to Romney.

He announces the First week of June but it is looking like a for sure from some of his speeches. You can get them on Facebook. RTR!   ;D

Newt would be the smartest horse in the race. Maybe too many negatives for the swing vote. Remember, they can pull up anything he has said in the last 25 years and use it against him. That is a boatload of sound bytes they can use as ammo.

Had to give you one WV. He has been through the battles in his past life, but the last few years he has been really quiet and helpful. He also has stood hard line on the Rep. side. I don't know if he would win if he runs but he can debate with the best of them. I am sure if he picks the near right VP candidate(Huckabee I hope), I willl vote for him. RTR!

If I could pick a "Dream Team" it would be Cheney-Gingrich. Of course Cheney's health makes that impossible.

I have never liked him.  He is fake, IMO.  He is a politician through and through.  He says whatever he needs to without any conviction.  He flip flopped on abortion, and IMO it was purely for political expediency.  I did not like his health plan for Mass. at all.  It is basically a smaller state version of ObamaCare.

I will most likely support Newt now.  I like everything about him from a political perspective.  I just hope some of his personal life issues don't come back to haunt him.

SUPERCOACH on Fox News today Huckabee said he was not ready right now to run, but he might change later. I think that later possiblity is when Newt ask him to run as his VP. Now Newt/Huckabee would be a through and through winner and a great Presidential/Vice-Pres. team. JMHO! RTR!

Uncle Newt cannot win. His hate-o-meter is too high.

I guess you are decided on being anti-Romney, but give this some thought. Imagine being a conservative in Massachusetts. You almost have to be a wolf in sheeps clothing to get elected to anything. The best a conservative can do up there is try to mitigate the damage.

One of my biggest (boy there are many) negatives on BHO is that he has no private sector experience. This is definitely something that Romney brings to the political table. I'm not making a stand for Romney--just saying "Not so fast, my friend". jmo

ABO is my guy. I heard last night that Romney may enter the Iowa primary since Hucklebee declined. IDK if he has announced, but will be surprised should he not.

I don't know anything about Trump from a policy stand point.  I am really not committed to anyone at this point, but I will watch the debates and form an opinion somewhere down the road.

Earlier in this thread I spoke of the Dems hauling out sound bytes of Gingrich faux pas, gathered over 25 years. They would murder Trump.
