Sylve, a 5-foot-11, 180-pounder from Port Sulphur, La., who started last month against Colorado State, broke up a pass and finished with two tackles. He was flagged with pass interference in the first half, though safety Vinnie Sunseri praised Sylve's effort on the play.

"He's just battling, really," linebacker C.J. Mosley said. "He had his chance earlier in camp and early in the season and he kind of messed up ... He just kept working and didn't let the negative affect him."

Mosley tells it like it is!

Saban has the final word:

Jackson injured his ankle last week against Georgia State and was limited a bit in practice, but Saban indicated Sylve earned his way into the starting rotation by keeping the heat on Jackson.

"We think Eddie's a good player, too, and he has to continue to focus on his development," Saban said. "I think the young players have to know that every week's a new week, it's a new game plan, you have to have a new focus, be able to prepare and get ready for the next game.

"I think the inexperience they have affects their ability to sustain that with consistency sometimes and these are the lessons that these guys have to learn."
Saban showing him early that there's no job security in football.   :lol2:

(I bet Wall-E doesn't like it when you mess with his titles.)

You are so right, at Bama it's not. ;)
