Well that sucks. Levi will be difficult to replace but we have more options this year. Algie Key would be my guess to take his starting spot until he can rehab and come back.

Exactly!! I was thinking the same thing when I read this. How much more can go wrong for this program. I have never seen this kind of stuff happen to a program in a 5 year span.

It's definitly not fair to CAG and his staff, they have been through so much since he arrived at Bama. Some of the younger players are going to have to grow up in a hurry.

I have read on other boards that Levi's injury is not serious and he should be back for the opener against Oklahoma. He is wearing a knee brace and it did not require surgery. However, he will miss valuable practice time.

I have also seen where Nick Jacobs is practicing so his shoulder must be OK.

SEC Basketball Media Days starts today and Coach Grant is on the schedule for this morning. We should get an update.

As a side note it should be no surprise CAG elected to take senior PG Trevor Releford along with him to Media days.

I certainly hope that's true about Randolph. Very good news about Jacobs. Thanks for the update.

Personally, I would prefer he be allowed to heal fully and not have to play with a brace. The brace will limit his mobility and ability to make quick cuts. Plus, will he be risking a more serious injury if he is not healed properly?  Just wondering. Maybe Coach Grant can clear this up.

That is some warming news on Levi's condition, hopefully it's a strain and not a tear. Chris Stewart said on his daily talk show that everybody has healed and are ready to play.

Yeah, I know that, I'm just happy everyone else is healthy, like Jacobs, Engstrom, etc. We will need everyone this year, especially if Randolph is hurting most of the year.

Jamos or anyone out there hear anything else about Randolph's injury. Coach Grant was interviewed yesterday but I missed it.

 :dunno:

Levi's injury will not require surgery. He is wearing a brace and taking it easy. He should be out 3-4 weeks and back in time for the Oklahoma opener. That is the good news. The bad news is he will miss a lot of practice.

No further details like a sprained knee, stretched ligament, or something of the sort?

The article I read was vague. I don't think CAG let's much injury information out. I still don't know the details of Jacob's shoulder injury other than he is alright and practicing.
