Alabama received 56 of the 62 first-place votes after beating Tennessee 45-10 on Saturday. Oregon picked up two more after beating No. 11 UCLA 42-14. No. 3 Florida State had one first-place vote a week ago, but lost it Sunday.

What in the world did FSU do to lose their vote?  I'm guessing most of these guys don't realize that Oregon was on the ropes for 3 quarters and pulled away with 21 points in the 4th.  Oregon can not play with a smash mouth team that has the stamina to compete for 60 minutes.

I think Stanford will expose Oregon. I was not impressed with Oregon last night. UCLA just laid down. I think FSU may be the real deal.

I think the same thing about FSU.  I think we could run all over Oregon, but FSU would be a pretty good game.

Hey 2Stater  , I think FSU is for real too. The apple didn't fall to far from the tree. News Flash: Alabama vs Florida State for the NC Trophy. RTR!

You are spot on, SC. What do you suppose would happen if those ducks played a team that was bigger and stronger than UCLA and could sustain that for 4 quarters?
Do you know any teams like that, Coach?

Doesn't FSU play Miami next Sat?

In fact, I know several of them.  "Small and fast" works pretty well against "any size and slow".  But against "big AND fast"... not so much.

Yep.  I expect Miami to get exposed too.

It would tickle me to see Miami take FSU down. Their hopes and dreams would be crashed with this Jamies this and Jamies that. From the sound of it they might as well give him 4 Heisman and be done. Just because he didn't sign with Alabama is my thinking. He did right though cause he couldn't beat out AJ no way. RTR!

I don't see Oregon as the 2nd best team. They are fast, but very small compared to Bama and FSU. All things being equal, if all 3 win out, Bama-FSU will be the better game for the BCSNCG.

In MHO I think FSU would take Oregon and rub it in pretty good. The defense FSU has is Big and Fast. Look at what they did to Clemson and  Clemson is not a bad team at all. I see them in the BCSCG. RTR!
