Title: Coach Chip Kelly & Philadelphia Eagles
Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 27, 2013, 03:53:46 PM
Well, the Chip Kelly experiment and offense are not lighting up the NFL as a lot of experts thought it would. It is his first year, but his offenses always relied on an active running QB and that just won't happen in the NFL. Plus, he relies on speed and quickness, which works in college, but every NFL team has speed & quickness. I think after 3 years he will be looking to return to college. He is 3-5 with a porous defense and okay offense. It will be interesting to see what draft picks/trades they make for the Eagles this year. What do you guys think?

Hey MD and what is funny to me, is the old man the Eagles fired is 7-0. Sometimes bad ideas bite you. RTR!

Oregon seems to be doing fine without him.

Reid left an aging Philly team and went to a younger team with potential but poor coaching. Plus, he picked up a QB, something essential to win in the NFL. Reid will probably be Coach of the Year making the Philly owner look incredibly stupid.

Makes you wonder who the real genius behind the offense was, doesn't it?

the Eagles peeps agree with me  :dunno:

one of them just put a pic of Kelly with a puzzled look on his face

the caption said " well , it worked at Oregon "   :lol2:

I hear Lane Kiffin is available. I find something very appealing about Lane being stuck ...umm, coaching, in Lawrence, KS.

Don't laugh. Kiffin has been hired at 3 prestigious Head Coaching jobs already without proving anything. Like Charles Barkley said, the guy must have pictures on someone.

I'm not sure I would use the words "prestigious" and "Kansas" in the same sentence when talking football.  :lol2:

LSU already showed that.  Oregon's offense was also weak against Auburn's 11th ranked SEC defense.  That's why I think FSU is a much better team than Oregon this year.  Oregon is more of a gimmicky HS offense taking advantage of weaker competition with insufficient athletes.
