"There's more and more trust in the communication. I think the execution has been better, which for us, because we have very good skill guys on the perimeter at receiver and several good runners, makes those guys so much more effective and really helps AJ (McCarron) create a kind of balance and makes you hard to defend." Saban said he challenged the players to "maintain discipline" in all areas of their life during the bye week. The Crimson Tide will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, but there won't be an inordinate amount of time devoted to the Tigers. PLEASE, for once, let's have a down week when none of the players acts like a knucklehead. The doghouse is full, and our depth is thin everywhere. :popcorn2: Title: Re: "Alabama's bye week focus: 'Maintaining discipline, improving our team,' Nick Saban says" Post by: SUPERCOACH on October 28, 2013, 11:19:36 AM He talked about the suspensions on his TV show last night. For those of you that missed it, he basically said that he has to discipline the players when they don't do what they are supposed to do just like a parent would discipline their children in order to teach them a lesson so they will do better next time. The only thing he can do to the players that will get their attention is to take away their playing time. He indicated that the team chemistry and attitude has improved considerably since the beginning of the season. The good guys don't have much respect for the knuckleheads, but that doesn't seem to be an issue right now so maybe they have matured and decided to straighten up and fly right the rest of the way.
