SEC Lookahead: Is LSU really a threat to beat Alabama?
(http://media.al.com/sports_impact/photo/lsujpg-abf544e942e2b0d6.jpg)If Alabama was hosting any team on Nov. 9 with the record of its next opponent and that opponent wasn't also LSU, the chatter would be over whether the Crimson Tide would get scored on in the first half - something that hasn't happened in its past six games - or maybe if Bama could score at least 45 points for a fifth consecutive game - something the Tide hasn't done in the SEC Era.

Both teams are coming off open dates. LSU coach Les Miles has a 3-1 record against Alabama when coming off an in-season open date. Alabama coach Nick Saban is 1-3 against LSU in that circumstance.
