I think Louisvill/Houston and Troy/OleMiss are irrelevant. Same for the Thurs games. The OSU game is another chance to see if OSU is for real. I like the Miami game because it puts FSU is perpective, since Miami was one of their marquee wins. I agree the FSU game won't be worth it.

Ga. Tech/Clemson is a VERY interesting match-up. Ga. Tech is leading their division and could end up playing FSU in the ACC Championship game. Clemson has one loss and is trying to stay in the race for a BCS game. Washington/UCLA is far more interesting than watching Ohio St. score 55-60 points on Illinois, who is 3-6 and totally awful.

There are several teams with two losses in the ACC Coastal division, GA Tech, Virginia Tech, Miami and yes, Duke!  So the Duke/Miami game does have an impact on who might play in the ACCCG.

Agree that Houston/Louisville is irrelevant.  Only thing it might determine is if we see N. Illinois in a BCS game.   :eyeroll:

Agree that Illinois is totally awful.  They have lost by a combined  85 or so points against Nebraska, Michigan State and Wisconsin.  So watching OSU beat them by 30+ won't prove anything.

Anyway, it looks like we mostly have agreement from the list.

Thanks for those points MD. I hadn't realized GaTech was having a decent year. Any game related to the ACC championship pairing with FSU is worth watching. As for OSU, I keep wanting to see someone beat them into irrelevance. I agree that Illinois is unlikely to do the job.

Iowa St/Oklahoma stinks but I think Michigan/Northwestern or Vandy/Kentucky might be a little better, not much better, but still better. I am enjoying the misery for Michigan.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking after looking at the spread.  I was trying to find a decent game we could still watch on TV.  Kentucky Vandy is the SEC 12:21 game so might be the best bet with a 13 point line.  Michigan game is the Big10 network, so no TV for most, but only a 3 point line.

True. One thing for sure, though, and that's what I'm basing my pick on, is that UCLA plays well at home.

I just changed my pick from Nebraska to Michigan State. Nebraska is a 6 1/2 point dog. Someone talk me out of this. I like MSU, but they have problems scoring, plus Nebraska is at home.

CB was going for the upset special of the week. He was the only person to pick Ga Tech.

Saw that too. But if he'd got it right he look like a genius. I typically do better when i lose on Thursdays so I'm betting on a crappy week. MD I took Nebraska too if that helps.

We have 21 people start out at 2-0.  Either people are getting better or those were easy picks. 

Some tougher games on Saturday, Georgia/Auburn, MichSt/Nebraska, Texas Tech/Baylor, Miami/Duke, OKst/Texas, Florida/USCe, even Kentucky/Vandy, none of those seem to be easy picks -- and those are some evil point spreads.

Correct.  Hopefully I can turn that job over to WALL-E next year, along with double checking the scores against another source.  My goal is to get the whole contest automated eventually, including creating a poll to let the members vote on which games to include each week and looking up the point spread.
