Title: Question about Tide Pride etc.
Post by: ALTideUp on November 10, 2013, 09:40:59 AM
I have some relatives here who are waking up and trying to recover from an 8 am to midnight Gameday. They are asking what is the annual fan cost for tide pride, season tickets, and tide pride Parking.

TIDE PRIDE membership is based on different levels. At the present time there is a long list for a membership on any of the leverls. There is though a chance to get an access to the games by getting into the end zone areas known as the North and South Zones.

I'm including a link toTIDE PRIDE that should answer most of your questions but the best way to find out if there are any available places is to call the TIDE PRIDE office.

Sorry, Jamos. I was unclear. They have have no interest in joining. Their a was basically, how the heck much are people shelling out to do all this stuff, games, parking, tailgating, tide pride, etc. I am sure it varies, but a ballpark estimate would satisfy them.

And although they were largely impressed by their experience, someone stole some of our tailgate stuff during the game.

On our level, I pay $600 per seat (2) and the price of tickets vary each year, this year my tickets, home games only, cost about $850. This does not include the season opener which is usually played out of town, this year it was played in Dallas. These tickets are usually more expensive than the regular season ticket prices. The home ticket prices vary from $45 to $75, depending on who the opponent is.

In TIDE PRIDE you accumalte points that permit you that permit you to get the perks of the program. These perks include parking passes, "away" tickets, and Bowl games. The way you get points is through your annual membership and donations. The amount of your donations makes the big difference. I've been in TIDE PRIDE since 1983 and I don't have the points to get "away" tickets but I do get parking. You have to be very generous with your donations to get the away tickets. I also do get the season opener tickets as well as any bowl that they go to, including the NCG.

I hate to hear about your stuff getting stolen. That's just totally classless.  >:(

Single game wise the face value of the LSU ticket was $90. The Chattanooga ticket is $65. I paid $20 to park yesterday. It was an 8 block walk to the stadium. You pay more the closer to the stadium you get. It cost $8 to rent a stadium seat. A drink with a souvenir cup cost $6.

I think it is a da#@ shame..people rip others property off, it happens a lot, and the best thing to do is secure everything before you go to the stadium. I have been in Tide Pride for 25 years, and have enjoyed it. My nephew has been on the list for 5 years, and he cannot get anyone to tell him his place on the waiting list. They say there are twenty five thousand on the waiting list for tickets now.

Thanks guys. I am lucky enough to get fac/staff tickets when i want them. And after 20 years at ua this was only my second time tailgating and first time on the quad. I was enquiring for my visitors who couldn't believe that folks shelled so much for football season. They had an amazing visit and were in awe most of the time.

No worries about the stolen stuff. Karma goes around, good and bad.

I'd estimate that most people who have season tickets and tailgate every home game spend +/- $5000 a year.  Tickets, including Tide Pride fees, range from around $1000-$1500 (much more for The Zone).  Then add on travel, lodging, parking, equipment, food and drinks seven or eight times a year.

Jamos - from the sounds of the other threads, I should have skipped my low rent, amateurish tailgate and hung out with you guys instead. Sounds like tailgate heaven!

Is that cumulative donations or one lump sum?

You can do it either way. I'm not sure of the time frame on the cumulative donation.
