The SEC is way, way down this year from previous years and Auburn has had a favorable schedule on top of that. Against common opponents Bama looks much better. They haven't played a quality defensive team this season and they gave up 35 and 41 points to LSU and A&M.
I think the game will be closer this year than last year though...
