Well I have read and looked myself. I see no end, and I wonder why the President won't work to cut the budgets he swore to in his campaign? I am not sure what a shutdown is but it sounds like nobody is going to do anything if they don't meet halfway. Why would they not meet halfway? Is our Govt. in this much disagreement with each other because one is so afraid the other will look good and only to hurt the American people? RTR! The usual resolution is a continuing resolution that continues the existing funding level. Retroactive payments for services, salaries, etc are made. Shutdowns usually are short-lived and have no lasting impact.
