Title: Aubarn-Georgia
Post by: bama57 on November 14, 2013, 09:13:10 AM
I put my utter disgust for all things aubarn aside in picking auburn to beat the points against Georgia this weekend.I really don't know if that is possible, but, hope they win by at least 10 points. I really want them to have only 1 loss when they meet us. Any other thoughts on this?

I think Georgia matches up well with them.  I think Georgia wins by 7-10.

If Gurley runs effectively, Barn is in serious trouble.

I think UGA wins. I am not convinced the barn can throw the ball and I expect UGA to load the box and find out.

Georgia, although not 100%, is healthiest they've been since the 10RC game. I see Ga. winning this one by 7 or less.

Careful, this is a Mark Richt-coached team. Do you think he can figure that out?

 ???

Mark Richt has done pretty well against the barn. I think he is a good but not great coach.

I feel like I've said this 1000x this year to different people, but a defense that can play disciplined, assignment-based football will slow the Gus Bus down to a snail's pace.  Auburn has gotten this reputation as being a power run offense this year somehow, when the real key to their offense is getting the D out of position.  It doesn't take much to block a man that's already ran himself out of a play or is off-balance.

You can try for #1001 during the In-Game Thread on Saturday!

The way this thread is going, we might convinced the 4 otherwise.

I think I picked Auburn.

I didn't spend too much time on my picks this week.

I'm leaving for Nashville in a few hours to watch the Titans play the Colts.

Hey 2Stater who did you pick? If you don't mind. I of course had to go with Georgia. You know my record if I pick something I advise most people to pick the other way. LOL, RTR!

Most of the experts don't agree with us that UGA will win. Most are picking the barn in a close game. I don't see it. I am sticking with UGA.

I am looking forward to this game. It should be a good one. It is always fun to watch auburn lose.

I agree, the only defense that the barn has played is LSU and we know how that turned out.

I think it's a tough pick.  I'm not sold on Auburn -- I think Bama handles them easier than LSU did.  But I'm not sold on Georgia either.

I hear you. I have been going back and forth on this pick. I just changed it to Auburn. I will probably regret it.  ???
