Title: Which BCS teams are on the rise or fall?
Post by: pmull on May 29, 2011, 03:41:23 PM
ESPN's Mark Schlabach rates all BCS teams on a scale of 1-5. Bama, of course gets a 5. Interesting comments.

Few teams in the country could lose the talent the Crimson Tide have lost the last few seasons and still field a championship-caliber team. As long as Nick Saban is coaching the Crimson Tide, they'll be a BCS contender every season.

Gave UF a 3 and WVU a 4. That is nonsensical. >:(

Excellent info. Good analysis, but I don't see the reason for the upbeat analysis/rating for Notre Dame, Missouri, Florida St., Va. Tech., Stanford, W. Virginia, Stanford, and Auburn. Most of these teams have not proved much over a 3-5 year period of team. One or 2 decent teams don't impress me. Especially, Stanford, N. Dame, & Missouri.

Living in WV you must hate WVU. I lived in Nebraska for a few years and after the barn I hate the cornshuckers the most. You have to live with them to know how obnoxious they are.

True. As in Big Ten country, Big East fans seem competely oblivious to the fact that their conference had trouble keeping a team in the the Top 25 last year. One article such as this, showing WVU ahead of UF, just fuels the insanity. Did everyone forget that WVU has never won a Nat'l Title (except the rifle team) and UF has won two in the last 5 years.
