Title: TJ Yeldon
Post by: N.AL-Tider on November 28, 2013, 09:21:00 AM
Has anyone heard anything about TJ needing hip surgery?  I have a friend that has some contacts at Bama (he himself graduated from Bama within the past few years) and he says that TJ injured his hip during the Miss St. game and that it needs surgery.  Supposedly he will be available to play against Awbren though so it doesn't sound too serious.  I sure hope it isn't true.

Anything?  Anybody?

Not me and I doubt that any news on something like that will happen until the season is over.

Just be praying that it is just a slight misinformed understanding. RTR!

If true -- and I hope it's not -- it would be another in a long line of serious injuries Bama has suffered against MSU.  More than the outcome of the MSU game, I always worry about injuries.

How can you have a hip injury serious enough for surgery, but still be able to play football?

 ???

A lot of players have non-serious but nagging injuries that they play through until the end of the year and then have surgery to correct it. Not uncommon at all.

I once chipped a bone in my hip kicking a soccer ball.  After the first day it didn't really hurt or affect me at all.  Could be something similar?

It's a Bama tradition.  Bear Bryant, Lane Bearden, Brad Smelley, Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, AJ McCarron...
