Title: Jon Gruden as Raiders Coach?
Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 19, 2013, 11:21:51 PM
Personally, I think he's the most overrated former coach of the NFL.

The question of whether a current head coach will be fired comes with a far more important question.

Who will replace him?

Earlier this week, former Raiders quarterback and NFL MVP Rich Gannon made a suggestion that will capture the imagination of plenty of Raiders fans:  Former Raiders coach Jon Gruden.

He was a good coach but not a great coach. He got out of coaching at a young age while he was still considered to be in his prime. He has a good thing going at ESPN. IMO he would be a fool to coach again and possibly ruin his reputation. I doubt he ever coaches again. I know I wouldn't if I was in his shoes.

I totally agree. His job is so peaceful why would bring back the anguish of pleasing fans and owners when he can just ride the ride? Crazy. RTR!

The Raiders job is one of the less desirable NFL coaching jobs with its current owner.  Kinda like the Cowboys.  I guess it is better than Cleveland.

no thanks ...
I'll pass ...

I agree with the overrated part but if it means someone else
that's worse on MNF I'll say keep him ...

ESPN has a lot to do with the overrating he gets , we all know how
they can screw up a one car funeral ...
