Title: SIAP: SI names Bama seventh best job

I think I understand where the guy is coming from, but I still think UA is too low on the list. He puts Tide lower due to having to battle the barn for recruits, but I still think that we shouldn't be behind LSU or Georgia.

No fan base in America cares more about its football team

They got that right.

As long as they keep ranking our football team up at the top, I don't care where they rank the job.  ;)

I don't like the list at all. I agree with Texas at the top. Bama should be ahead of LSU & Georgia. Florida's recent history is good.  Barn would not be in the top 20. Nebraska is missing. I would put USC over Oregon.

Well everybody knows Alabama should be ahead of LSU & Georgia, but the talent rich a area the best job is probably Montana.
1. They get to play in the snow.
2. It is cool in Spring Practice.
3. The summer time has rain and wind for cooler days at practice.
4. It is a beautiful location.
Now how could you beat this for a coaching job? RTR!

Andy Staples article is another reminder why I don't subscribe to SI.
How do you list booger U above a school like USC? Bama at this point in time is a top five job. Maybe a top 2 or 3 job.

I thought the same thing about U of Nevada in Reno, some beautiful country and less than a days drive from beach, lake, and mountains to ski awesome area

When I first saw the list, I wondered if his reasoning for putting Bama 7th was because of the expectations of excellence. But for him to do it based on our recruiting against aub is ridiculous.  We recruit VERY well with aub in the state.  Just thought it was a dumb ranking.  I agree with pmull - leaving Nebraska out of the top 10 didn't make sense.

I agreed with Chris Lowe's take on the list (he linked it on the ESPN SEC blog).  I'd have Texas #1, Florida #2, and would have Bama somewhere in the top 5.

I also agree with pmull....leaving out Nebraska is awfully odd.

Now that list sounds much more reasonable.
