Title: Bobby Petrino-New Louisville Football Coach
Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 08, 2014, 03:45:28 PM
Déjà vu all over again. Louisville is desperate to be considered a major player in college football.

Quote
LOUISVILLE — Bobby Petrino is expected to replace Charlie Strong as the head football coach at the University of Louisville, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports.

ESPN is also reporting the news, citing sources. The Daily News in Bowling Green also confirmed the Yahoo! report.

I guess they have forgot how bad of shape he left Louisville in last time. Kragthorpe never had a chance. As I recall he had to kick a lot of the players off the team for discipline issues and never could over come it.

Here's the face of Louisville Football:

Louisville wants to win, period. Petrino will continue to recruit thugs & losers to play as long as he can win.

My uncle used to have a saying: "I guess he don't believe fat meat's greasy". I think this would apply to Louisville. Petrino left such a bad taste in their mouth before, I just can't believe they are going to him again.

Louisville joins the ACC next year, a step up from the AAC.  So they couldn't afford to miss.  Petrino went 41-9 in his previous 4 years at Louisville, Charlie Strong went 37-15 in 4 years.

As part of his contract he is required to team-teach a section of PHL269, Ethics and Morality, with Coach Petino.

Mike DuBose would be the perfect defensive coordinator.

And I must say, they both looked thrilled about it.  :lol2:
