Title: Dorial beckham-green caught with less than 5 grams of weed
Post by: ssmith general on January 11, 2014, 10:49:24 AM
That's barely a joint..   ???

Decriminalize weed, it's a silly waste of tax payer money.

Strongly disagree! Get a life, not a joint.

Decriminalize weed? I agree if it is under 1/2 oz or some other small quantity amount. You need to stop the source not the recreational user.

Actually, paranoia isn't what it used to be.
No cop can catch you when you're hiding under the bed.

Just saw he had over a pound in the car. Can agree on a minor amount for personal use, but A POUND?

LF and I were going to buy some pralines in Savannah.
But the smallest was a 1-lb bag.

A pound is distribution quantity.  Other kids were in the car... doesn't say whose car it was.

Does this mean that Mizzou is off to a good start in the chase for the Fulmer Cup?

There were three people in the car with a pound of weed. That amount is considered "intent to distribute". Unless one or both of the other guys claims the weed DGB could be in big trouble. This is his second offense.

Quote
Green-Beckham, John W. McDaniel, 22, and Patrick W. Prouty, 20, were arrested on suspicion of felony distribution of a controlled substance, Springfield police said in a news release. All three suspects were released without bond pending further investigation and laboratory testing of the evidence, the release said.

Police pulled over McDaniel’s 1999 Jeep Cherokee when they noticed his license plates had expired in October 2013. When they made contact with McDaniel, they detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Officers found about a pound of marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia, the release stated.

Beyond this particular case, it will become increasingly ridiculous to kick kids off a team in state A for things they can do legally in states B, C, & D.

it could be that Colorado sees a surge in recruitment of a certain type of athlete.

Our buddy Jim McElwain may benefit, although that doesn't seem to fit his personality.
