Title: MSU 61 v. BAMA 80 - 7:00 pm CST Wednesday Post by: roll tide roll on January 15, 2014, 05:04:11 PM BAMA needs to win this one, and they should win this one.
If BAMA shoots as poorly from the field as they did against UGA then it will be a long night. BAMA also needs to at least try to stay even on rebounds. We shall see. Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: hscoach on January 15, 2014, 05:05:13 PM any tv?

Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 15, 2014, 08:45:11 PM Tide doing better inside with rebounds. Tide has 17, MSU 12. MSU is somewhat undersized. Tide 38-26 at half.
Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: 2Stater on January 15, 2014, 08:58:05 PM Bama wins easily 80-61. That is the loosest they've played in a long time. They flat out had fun tonight. Releford torched the baskets for 28 points. Great win.
Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: pmull on January 15, 2014, 09:09:14 PM Good win that was never in doubt. Up by 12 at the half and did not let Miss St make a run in the second half.
Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 15, 2014, 09:13:41 PM 80-61 Tide. Reason Tide won:
52.6% FG 33 Rebounds; MSU 28 17 Assists; MSU 11 MSU played a total creme-puff non-conference schedule and now it is coming back to bite them. Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: Jamos on January 15, 2014, 09:41:44 PM Roll Tide!!!

It was the largest crowd all year but still was only about half full. The crowd didn't get into the game much until about 12 minutes to go in the game, I guess they were waiting on the drought to happen. You can say what you want to about Trevor Releford, he is one heck of a player. Oh how he will be missed next year. I get so upset with the refs and their ticky tacky calls on Engstrom, they don't give him any slack at all. This was the best offensive movement that they have had in a long time, now they have to learn to use it better. We actually had players in position to get offensive rebounds. There was much improvement tonight on both ends of the court and now we will have to wait until Saturday to see if they remember any of it, hopefully they will. Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 15, 2014, 11:13:19 PM Saturday we will get a real test with Missouri. This game will be a good indicator of where we are at. Missouri stats:
13-2 Record RPI 21 30th in Rebounding 50th SOS Hold on to your hats. Title: Re: MSU v. Bama has trouble on the road, when foul calls go against them. Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: pmull on January 16, 2014, 08:29:39 AM Saturday we will get a real test with Missouri. Their RPI is about 50 with a SOS of about 130 depending on what source you use. Mizzou on the road will be a tough game without a doubt but they are very beatable. Georgia beat them in Columbia last week and Auburn played them very tight in Auburn Saturday. We need some big wins. As Mike Dubose would say "this is a tremendous challenge but it is also a tremendous opportunity". Title: Re: MSU v. I went to the RPI site for CBS & Yahoo and they are very similar and you are right. They show a SOS of 125 and RPI of 42 & another at 39. I previously used realtimerpi. ??? :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ Title: Re: MSU v. BAMA - 7:00 pm CST Post by: pmull on January 16, 2014, 09:14:15 AM Saturday we will get a real test with Missouri. Another I use is Warren Nolan. They have them at 51 and 134. http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2014/rpi Friday and Mondays are the best time to get a good read on the RPI. On Friday all the weekday games have been played and Monday all the weekend games. Mizzou plays Vandy tonight and their RPI will change good or bad depending on the outcome. Title: Re: MSU 61 v.
