The options are intriguing, and Saban certainly sounded intrigued as he elaborated on Scarbrough's potential. In the past, Saban has used running backs such as Jalston Fowler and Roy Upchurch in a variety of roles, and it sounds like the same is in store for the only running back he signed in this year's class.

"As a running back, we can use him in those kind of roles and if he can learn and be ready to help us, I think that because of the kind of player he is, maybe he will be able to contribute in other ways as a player besides running back," Saban said. "That’s how we would use him as a running back, not playing him at another position."

Committed longer than anyone else in Alabama's 2014 class, Scarbrough talked like a player who had already had plenty of conversations with Saban about his future role. The two were definitely on the same page Wednesday about Scarbrough's official position -- and everything else that might come with it...

 :P :P  Lots of options.
But hopefully he'll hold the ball a bit more securely.

"I think I bring a lot to the table," Scarbrough said. "I can be a (feature) player for that offense. I can play wide receiver. I can play tight end. I can play running back. As long as it's on the offensive side, I can do it."
A player with a lot of skills.

He has confidence in himself. I think that is a good thing if not misplaced. RTR!

Does anyone know what kind of speed he has? Possibly Reggie Bush type of player in Kiffin's offense...

According to this, he has 4.5 speed.

Rated as the No. 2 athlete in the 2014 class of prospects by Rivals.com, Scarbrough has played running back in high school. He rushed for 1,118 yards, averaging better than 10 yards per carry, and scored 19 touchdowns as a senior. Some recruiting pundits, however, have speculated that the 6-foot-2, 234-pounder with 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash might end up at wide receiver at Alabama.

Thanks 2Stater...definitely could fit the mold...he is a little bigger back the Bush, but seems to have the playmaking ability.  We have a number of guys who I think could really flourish in Kiffin's system.  But think about the possibilities of Henry and Scarbrough...both over 230 with speed like they have... :o

Those 2 alone could wear out some defenses. I don't know if you watched the video, but he hits the holes as quick as any running back I've seen. No stutter stepping, just BAM, and he's popped it.

Will he play this year?  Yeldon, Henry, and Drake(?) at RB, Howard and the JuCo guy at TE, Cooper and a number of other WRs.

He's probably better than Drake and if he keeps his nose clean he will see the field more because Drake has some image repair to do...
