Title: Softball: Saturday Tournament Games
Post by: Leewillie on February 08, 2014, 06:54:52 PM
Sorry for the delay in posting, I've been to 3 youth league basketball games watching my grand kids play all afternoon.

Along the way, Bama bests Northwestern State 16-0 in the 2:30 game.

Jury pitched 5 innings, gave up 2 hits, no runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2.  Another sound outting for her.

Hitting was lead by Peyton Grantham who went 3 for 3 in her college debut.  McCleney was 2 for 2, and Fichtner had a pinch hit Home run.

They will play again later tonight against Middle Tennessee State.

Littlejohn gives up a HR in the sixth, but closes out with a 9-1 victory.

She  went 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits, struck out 7, and walked 1.  Pretty solid performance by the freshman.

Eight of our 9 starters had hits, with McCleney, Spencer, Traina, Grantham, and Hawkins each having 2.

Scheduled to play Troy tomorrow at 2:30.
