Title: Crimson Tide Women Rally to Beat Bulldogs in Overtime, 72-64
Post by: pmull on February 21, 2014, 09:19:54 AM
The women continue to show improvement under the direction of first year Coach Curry. We are not yet where we need to be but we are trending upward. We are getting better each week which is a sign of good coaching.

After mounting a sensational comeback in the second half, the Alabama women's basketball team (12-14, 5-8 SEC) came away with a thrilling 72-64 overtime victory against Mississippi State (17-10, 4-9 SEC) Thursday at Foster Auditorium.

If anybody would have told me that the women would have a better record than the men at this point in the season, I would have laughed in their face.

would love to see them finish at .500 for the season -- or even with a winning record.  What a huge improvement that would be.

Just shows how coaching can make a difference.
