Austin pitched extremely well and they competed really hard tonight,” Alabama head coach Mitch Gaspard said. “On our end, we weren’t very sharp, even if it was a 2-1 game. We got out of some jams. We had a lot of opportunities offensively. Only 3 players had hits. 2 players had 8 of our 9 hits. Not gona win many ball games with only one third of the batting order contributing. On the other hand the pitching staff is doing their job. Alabama beat SFA 3-2 in 10 innings. Pinch Hitter Wade Wass got the winning hit with one out scoring Kyle Overstreet from 2nd base. Jon Keller got the win pitching 5 innings giving up 2 hits and 0 runs. SFA 2 7 1 Bama 3 11 2 Bama wins the series. Our overall record is 4-2. We play Southern Miss in Hattisburg on Wednesday.
